Works and looks great.
Received the paint in 2 days with standard shipping. Bought a can of self etching primer from hardware store and then applied Mercury paint after. Never painted before but I think it turned out great. Didn't feel like grinding the heavy scratches out, however looks good. I guess I'll find out how it hold up next time I take it out in the gulf. Main objective was to protect the metal fin below as the previous owner hit a few sand bars. Also did the prop which turned out nice too. No pic as its drying still.

Skeg on outboard motor looks like new again.
On one of my first boat trips with my new 2019 pontoon boat I grinded off some OEM paint from the bottom of the skeg of the outboard and so it didn't look new any longer. Well, this worked perfectly! I can't even tell where I painted and where I didn't from 3' away. Super happy. If your OEM paint is older I don't know if it will match as well right away, but at least it also offers some protection to the bare metal as well. If you have a pretty new Merc then I can recommend this as it worked great for me. Happy and safe boating!

Terrible Spray Paint
First, let me be clear that this has nothing to do with the seller. I will never buy a Mercury labeled spray paint again! Instead of going the cheaper route and buying "off the shelf" primer and paint to match Mercury black for my motor hood, I spent the extra money for the Mercury labeled paint and primer. I have painted quite a few things throughout my years, and never had used such bad paint products. I used the Mercury primer and it sprayed terribly as well - I should have abandoned using the Mercury products at that time. Instead, I re-prepped the hood and bought a couple cans of Rustoleum primer from the auto parts store. The Rustoleum sprayed beautifully - as it should. As I was prepping for the paint, I considered not using the Mercury paint, but as I had already purchased it, I hoped for the best. Well, I received the worst! With having issues with the primer, I shook the can before starting for 5 minutes. Started spraying about 8 inches away, and can spit out spots all over hood. I kept shaking can throughout, but paint can continued to throw out spots. I have a second can that I have asked the seller if I can return. I will let the paint dry completely, sand off to a good finish, and use another product. Just letting you know to stay away from these products. Money is one thing, but the amount of time and work to re-prep the hood is the worst thing about this. I hope someone from Mercury or whoever makes this paint reads this! Simply terrible!!
