The magnificent Falcon of the agenets beast is steeped in history and came to the Queen through Edward IV. The reverse of this Brand New £5 coin features Jody Clark's depiction of a Falcon perched on top of the shield with a partially open fetterlock in its grasp. Originally closed, the slightly open fetterlock supposedly refers to Edward IV cl to the throne. Whilst the obverse features the fifth portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, also designed by Jody Clark.
