Stunning!
These are super easy to grow. I put the seeds in soil in the basement to start them with plant lights and transferred outside once it got nice enough. I bought orange this year because I had yellow last time. You need something for them to climb on. I gave them food every 2 weeks diluted in water. I placed them to the west and they flourished. I watered them when we got dry spells so they didn't wilt. You can tell when they need water if they start to droop. Always put holes in the bottom of your pots. I live in 5A so I really didn't have to worry about them. I like outside pride seeds. They germinate good & are a pretty good value. It's beautiful. Check out the picture!

Slow starters but beautiful.
For years, I’d been germinating my black-eyed susan vines from another popular seed brand indoors (let’s just use their initials — “B-I”), then transplanted them to my carefully chosen morning-to-early-afternoon-sun-exposed Earth Box and iron trellis. While each year the seedlings’ growths and winding about the trellis were impressive, their flowering never came anything close to the promises on the seed package let alone their bountiful ‘testimonial’ florid displays. I was lucky if I saw 10 flowers from an entire seed packet. I knew I had the perfect location sun-wise for my zone on the seeds’ needs. So this year, I germinated these Outside Pride seeds, along with the “BIs.” I transplanted the 4 best BI seedlings into the back of my Earth Box, then transplanted the best 7 Outside Pride seedlings into the front and back flanks. As before, the BIs have overtaken the trellis, but only in foliage. Today, I see the Outside Prides are rising to the challenge. Update: new seeds purchased in May 2025. Amazon description here says germination works best when exposed to light, but seed package says germination works best in darkness!?

Very low percentage of germination.
I wonder if the companies read the reviews. I would gladly write a second review of this product if the company were to contact me and listen. I am an experienced gardener, I know how to sow seeds. When I see only nine sprouts out of an entire pack of seeds I am not satisfied. I would not recommend these seeds. I will purchase other brands.

Duds! 98%! 2 packages!!!
Giving this 5 stars for almost attaining 100% failure to germinate, regardless of whether started inside or out. No need to write and say I don’t know what I am doing. I do. Mine just did not germinate — two packages of duds!

Plant looks kinda sad
My plant arrived much earlier then expected. I'm very excited to get it since I will not be going to any nursery's this year due to the virus. I'd love the seller to reply to this post. I'd like to know if this was dug out of the ground and put in the pot you shipped it in? It seems like it's going through shock. Also, I'd like to know when it was last fertilized, if ever. I'd like to fertilize it now, but afraid to. I will have to keep it in my home for several weeks until the frost is gone, and plan to babysit this plant to death, (well, hopefully not to death), but I had this plant last year, and it was so beautiful I 'm hoping I can get this one to look so good. That plant came straight out of a green house and was nice and clean, and lush, ( I believe they told me it was 4 different plants) this one is pretty "gritty"', like its been in the ground during rain or watering? I plan to add some seeds to the soil once I repot it, so I can have a bushier plant.

Blackeye Susan’s
I ordered both the orange & yellow, yellow seeds did not germinate and the orange ones germinated about half the package. I think I would have had better luck germinating, and greenhouse.

So far,so good!
I am very optimistic! Too early for end result but mine are sprouting in less than a week! I presoaked for 24 hours, then kept seeds on a wet paper towel covered by a wet paper towel since.also have all my seeds on a warming tray for seeds ( new this year). I have to keep moist 2-3 times/day as the heat must dry my paper towels out but they have sprouted in less than a week this way.even though paper towels get dry,the have not been dry to point that seeds have had constant supply of moisture. I am very optimistic and will transplant to soil this week.👍update,in soil.got over 15 pots with 3 plants /pot and they are about 5” tall! I’m going to trellis very soon. Very pleased! Trellised couple days ago and are really taking off! ( first 2 photos while growing indoors, last photo on porch middle of July Edit… The last three pictures are when the plants are about one month old
