can the unit be installed on its long side?

Hello, Thank you for your question. This unit must be installed in its upright position. It cannot be installed on its side. Thank you, Beverage Factory Customer Service

Which model would work for 10 x 10 x 8 foot cellar?

Hello S. Adams,I am calculating that room at almost 800 Cubic feet, so you would need a WKL 4000 for that space. AnthonyThe Beverage Factory

Is there any condensation that needs to be vented out? We are looking to set this up in our wine cellar with no outside air access. Thanks

Hello, Thank you for your question. This unit is equipped with a Pull-down Drain tube to prevent condensate overflow. To temporarily drain excess amounts of condensate engage the drain tube and provide a receptacle or drain to receive the excess condensate. Thank you, Beverage Factory (800) 710-9939

Can this be vented into the same pipe we use to vent our dryer to the outside?

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, this particular model cannot be ducted like a dryer vent. This unit is installed into a wall and vents out the rear into a room that is adjacent of greater or equal size that is climate controlled.

A little underpowered?

I put this into a closet that I measured at 150 cubic feet, but with some suitcases, thinking it would be close enough. The closet has just drywall insulation, but it never got below 61 degrees, despite a week of running continuously. I added foam slab insulation on one wall and the door (which is 100% tightly sealed), still didn't help. For a smaller closet, I'm sure it's great, but I had to return this one and get the next size up unit.

I could not be happier. These units are remarkably durable

In the past 21 years I have had my wine cooling unit with the Breezeaire WKL 1060. This being my second unit, I could not be happier. These units are remarkably durable, to the point that I never had to have any service done. They definitely are worth the money and deserving of my 5 stars !
