They all face out so the person sitting there can see the numbers correctly. And it doesn't matter what the other person puts up or down how ever you do it.

Our game didn’t come with instructions, can someone post them?

Basically you each take a turn rolling both die. The number you roll, is the number you have to match by flipping down your tiles. For example, if I rolled a 10 I could put down any combination that gets me to 10. For example: 4 & 6, 7 & 3, 6 & 2 & 1, 2 & 3 & 5 , etc. If you roll doubles, you get to go again. Your round ends when you can't match the number you've rolled. Other players continue to play until they've rolled a number they can't match. Once everyone's round is dead, you tally the number of points remaining on the board. In other words, I would add up all the tiles that are still standing on my side of the board. The player with the lowest total score after X number of rounds (we usually do 10) wins! If you get all your tiles down, it's called "shutting the box" and deserves some celebration as it's quite hard to do.

How big is the green felt part you roll the dice into?

I don’t remember I gave it to the grandkids but it was large enough for a four year old if that helps
