It smells fantastic, it's green, soft and still has a slight amount of moisture. I have been buying hay for my bunnies for many years and this is by far the best I've purchased. I've experienced plenty of boxes of hay from other companies that had little color or was brown, dry and crunchy with little smell to it. This costs a little more, but is well worth it and my bunnies love it. Review: one of the few hay sources my rabbit will eat - My rabbit likes this hay - she will eat all of it and not waste any.
