Dr. John Hypoallergenic Chicken with Oats Dog Food

l already use Dr John's Silver dry food and find that excellent value, both of my dogs are fit and healthy with glossy coats, one developed allergies so l put her on the hypoallergenic Dr John's food, both will go on this when my supply of the silver has been used. It does the job, she has stopped itching but has not lost condition in any way, one major thing besides the quality is the price, compared to many hypoallergenic dog food this is very competitively priced. I have a border collie and a Labrador x border collie both very active but l find that a 15 kg sack feeds the two of them for just over a month, I add very small amount (cereal spoon) of wet meat as a topper because l like to think it adds variety but they don't need it. The kibbles are about the size of a five pence piece so would suit smaller dogs too. Being a dry food they are great as training treats too.

Got this as an alternative to Harringtons as it wasn't available, this is significantly cheaper than Harrington and dogs love it just the same, definitely my new repeat order

I had been searching for the best food for my bulldog, after many months of experimentation, with regular, healthy and firm stools as the aim. After 2 days of only Dr John's food, once weaned onto it, his entire demeanour and digestive system changed for the better. Insofar as I can judge, he loves the taste, but then he loves all food. He follows and actively seeks the smell, and finds the treats hidden in the most inaccessible places or in the snuffle mat. I do add a few drops of water as the dry kibbles can be a little dusty and he snorts whilst eating, but that's usual. Overall I find the food clean, odourless (to humans), simple to weigh /measure (consistent sized pieces), value for money in a15kg vs 12kg pack, easy delivery and so far zero problems. Obviously every dog is different, but having tried a variety of 'solutions' to a sensitive, irritable bowel I can heartily recommend Dr John's as having worked for us.

This dog food arrived next day and seems pleasant enough-no funny smell or appearance. Looks like any other generic kibble. Unfortunately, this kibble gave my dog horrendous sickness and diarrhoea. We changed over gradually as advised however by the time the mix was majority this kibble she was being sick. We put her on a plain diet of egg and rice for three days to clear her system thinking she was ill and as soon as we reintroduced this kibble she was violently sick and pooped all through the lounge and conservatory as she tried to make her way to the back door! Great fun. We now have 3/4’s of a bag of food that we dare not feed to our dog. Looks like it’s back to the previous, twice-the-price grain-free dog kibble!! Ducking Fog! :(

Tengo un mestizo de pastor intolerante a todo menos al pollo y al cerdo. Compre este pienso para probar porque todos contienen uno u otro ingrediente al que era alérgico y este en principio no. Pero le sentó tan mal en el estomago que afecto el ph de la orina y pillo infección de orina.... Todo esto haciendo el cambio paulatino tal y como recomendaba el veterinario. Una pena porque tenía buena pinta, pero en mi caso no me funcionó, tuve que volver a la dieta de eliminación y más adelante probar otro pienso que de momento tras 4 meses si que le ha venido bien (country diet).
