I have been feeding my dog the burns puppy food, if I change to this do I need to introduce it slowly?

Hi....As a general rule ( even on the same brand ) you should transfer over slowly in case there are issues...7 days is the normal period but this can be reduced to 3-4 days. just be aware that changing from puppy food which is normally chicken based to a different protein (Fish / Turkey etc ) can cause initial loose stools. How long does a bag last once opened

I have 2 labradors and a cocker spaniel who get fed twice a day and they go through a 12kg sack of burns about every 3 weeks so it doesn't have chance to get stale. So I guess it would depend on the size of the sack/bag your using and what size/breed of dog you have as to how long it lasts once open. But I would say that it would stay fairly fresh for a little while. Hope this helps.
