What is the diameter of this soap?

There are some silly answers to your question. Once the card box and the wrapping paper is removed, the soap is 3". It fits perfectly into a Nivea creme 200 ml pot.

The product says bio-degradable,which means the soap could expire quicker than other shaving soaps ?

What is your question here? It's bio-degradable because its made from 'natural & organic' materials; one or more of these combined may act as a preservative. From personal use, this product has never 'gone off or degraded' from purpose as it's used until due for replacement.

Does this melt? As in, can I pop it in a bowl, and then simmer the bowl in water and have the soap melt down to fill the base of the bowl?

Make life easy for yourself. If a soap puck is too big for your bowl, trim it to seize with a kitchen knife, put the trimmings on top, with use they will blend into one puck. If the puck is too small, use it, it will soon mould itself into the shape of the bowl.

Will this puck fit in the Kent wooden bowl?

Hello. Mitchell's Wool Fat fits 80mm diameter flat bottom bowls. I have no personal experience of the Kent bowls/soap but have read online that Kent is rebranded Mitchell's Wool Fat.
