Very good but all music is right handed.
Fantastic beginners book. My 6 year old learnt all the songs in a month. The only negative is the songs are all for the right hand. Doesn't encourage left hand usage at all. But very good as a first book.

Songs we all know and love
Usually, whenever I've bought a beginners book for any instrument you can bet I'll only know half the songs listed. I was thrilled with this book that not only I (as grandma) know all the songs but my young granddaughter will too. I've also bought the keyboard which lights up with each note played and also bought transparent stick on notes naming each key, so those, in combination with this book, are going to make for a very entertaining Christmas for 3 generations. Great book - buy with confidence. BTW. Delivery was super fast too. Thank you.

Excellent book
Super easy to understand &, easy tunes to learn. My little boy has autism so it is a little harder for him than the average child but, he still does it.

Beginner friendly.
Kids like it as the notes are lettered so makes it easier for them to play and it helps them with learning to sight-read music notation. Negatives of the book are the wasted blank pages at the back which could be filled with more songs. Also the quality is clearly a cheap knockoff photocopy made worse by the price it's sold for. Feel slightly ripped-off but kids like it and it does help with the sight-reading practice.

This is a perfect first piano book
I was looking for a first piano book for my son who is learning to play the piano and this is exactly what I was looking for. Simple tunes for the right hand only, that everyone knows (well most of them) which means you know what it is supposed to sound likes, which really helps. The tunes are clearly written and a good size on the page with the note name above the note which is helpful. I would absolutely recommend the book for a beginner.

I read the reviews and decided I need to let everyone know that I as a beginner realized something that have not seen in any of the books or videos that I have watch on YouTube. First of all I consider myself beginner teaching myself from books and videos and never had a personal instructor and I purchased this book for my grandson which is 8 years old. True this book it only has Treble clef and no Base clef but for someone that has never touched a piano or keyboard before it is sufficient especially for a child as a first book. Here is the secret that I have realized and not seen in any books or videos, once you have learned the Treble Clef you can use it to teach yourself Base Clef from it, all you have to do shift everything down by one line or space and the names of lines or spaces will be the same. For instance line five on Treble Clef is F, so by shifting it down one line, Base clef line four is F, space four on Treble Clef is E, space three on Base clef is E and so on. So you know names of Base clef line and spaces by knowing the Treble Clef. Also, I recommend once you have learned a song in the book playing it by your right hand now play the same song with your left hand, basically you are training your fingers to move on the keys, and as another exercise you can also assume the stave is a Base clef and write down its names of notes below the stave and that is how you can use this book to learn both staves.

it is very easy to learn with many favorite songs of kids. My daughter likes it so much, she can practice by herself
