Used to use SanDisk. SanDisk flash drives have a flaw where they suddenly go to read only and become unfixable and unusable- a flaw WD has known about for years. Switched to these and have had no issues at all.

Drives are fine but missing one lanyard.

Very easy to use, only wish it had a cap to protect end.

They are reliable

I was surprised at the speeds attained by this drive. 130 MB/s read and 25 MB/s write, which is very reasonable for the price. Would have given it 5 stars, but it did not come with the lanyard, as advertised. The above was my review of these drives when purchased a few months ago. The drives I received recently looked identical, but now included a LED activity light. Unfortunately, as you can see from the CDM scores of the old and new drives, there is a serious problem with write speeds. Read speeds are fine, but writing anything takes forever. I have purchased a number of other brands of 32GB USB drives after seeing this and ALL the others, even more expensive MLC memory drives, have the same SLOW write issues. It appears to me there is a large batch of R/W controller chips common to these USB flash drives that are defective. Older drives from these same brands function properly; only the very recently purchased drives exhibit this problem.

I always need a flash drive and these do the job!
