These are an exceptionally good snack! I thought because they were unhulled, they would be hard to chew but they were just as easy as any sesame seeds I had eaten but the taste was much richer and more intense! Very very delicious! I took a risk buying this but I'm really glad I did!

These are excellent sesame seeds and I've used them in cooking everything from ahi tuna to a nice garnish on sesame noodles. The seeds are all uniformly toasted and have that nutty taste that compliments just about anything from fried fish to cold salads. All the seeds have a nice crunch and I have yet to come across any that are tough. (They come in a resealable bag but I prefer to keep them in a small air-tight canister.) So, these particular seeds are great - and good for you – they have a fine nutritional content of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, manganese, copper, zinc, fiber, thiamine, vitamin B6, foliate, protein, and tryptophan. These are probably the healthiest seeds you can get. If you haven't cooked with sesame seeds I strongly suggest you buy a bag and start experimenting and you will be pleasantly surprised. And these Kevala seeds are just about the best I have found.

I used to try and find toasted sesame seeds in grocery stores whenever I needed them. And I needed them quite often as I use them when baking bread, rolls, Italian sesame cookies and making Asian dishes. I could usually find the raw version and would have to toast them myself. (I know, a minor complaint but it's just so much easier to simply reach into the bag when I need perfectly toasted seeds!) Often couldn't find them at most grocers and very hit and miss finding the toasted seeds at places like Whole Foods. However, when I did, the price was always ridiculous. This product is a great value for a really great quality product. I've ordered several times and have always been pleased with them. But remember, this package IS a very large quantity so if you rarely use toasted sesame seeds, it might be too much for you.

Purchased many times, pretty consistent freshness except one time it smelled rancid.

These sesame seeds are toasted to perfection. I have a sesame seed grinder (similar to ta pepper grinder), that breaks them up a bit. I use them over all sorts of dishes. They arrived yesterday, this morning I made Conjee (savory rice porridge) and served it with these sesame seeds on top (it also had shreds of grilled salmon, teriyaki nori, and some ginger scallion oil. The sesame seeds were aromatic, nutty, and absolutely perfect. I'm very happy with my purchase.

These are good to put in recipes or in salads. They also have a lot of vitamins.
